Sri Ampathy, a Hindu priest serving in an Atlanta-area temple (and the same priest featured in Ep. 6 and 8) reflects upon his American life and the loneliness that has ensued in a life of both devotion and detachment from everyday human interactions. He is invited to speak at an interfaith student event on campus at the small liberal arts college where some of the series students attend. Complex questions are put to him by students that he cannot answer, as he is preoccupied and slightly envious of their highly-charged emotional lives.
